Cursor Integration with Grip Security - Posture (SSPM)

Prev

This integration will be accessible starting November 10.

Overview

This guide explains how to connect Cursor with Grip Security. Integrating with Grip’s SSPM module enables Grip to assess critical security settings, including access control, configuration baseline, and other relevant aspects within your Cursor environment.

To connect your Cursor Administration account, you need to authenticate with an Admin Key. This key provides access to Cursor’s Administration APIs for managing your account.

This guide will help you retrieve your Admin key and set up the connection

Prerequisites

  • Admin in the Cursor account.

  • An Admin key is generated from your Cursor account settings.

Create the Admin API key

  • Log in to your Cursor account

  • From the sidebar, go to Settings (1).

  • Click on New Admin API key (2).

  • Name the key (3), and click on Save

  • From the ״Admin APIKey Created״ window, copy the key (4) and click on Done.

Connect Cursor to Grip SSPM

From the Grip platform, go to Posture >> Click on Add Tenant (1) » Cursor (2)

  • In the Add New Cursor Tenant window (3), enter the Cursor tenant Display name.

  • In the 'Team Name' field, enter the “Team Name” from your Cursor account user on the homepage (see image).

  • Paste the API key you copied from Cursor

  • Click on Add Tenant.

Once connected, the Tenant will be added to the “Connected Tenants” list. There, you can view and filter your policy statuses, assess your security posture, and address any issues.
