Overview

This guide explains how to connect HubSpot with Grip Security. Integrating with Grip’s SSPM module enables Grip to assess critical security settings, including access control, configuration baseline, and other relevant aspects within your HubSpot environment.

To connect to Grip, you will need to add a new app in HubSpot and provide the app’s Client ID, Client Secret, and Portal ID.

Create a new HubSpot app

  • Under the App info tab (2), enter the Public app name.

  • Click on the Auth tab (3) to add scopes.

  • Scroll down to + add redirect URL (4), enter your Grip domain name after the “https://.”
    https://{client_domain_in_grip}.integrations.grip.security/oauth/callback
For example, in this URL, https://acme.dep.grip.security/, the {client_domain_in_grip} will be - acme

  • Scroll further down to the Scopes section and click on + Add new scope (5)

  • Add the following scopes (6): "oauth", "settings.users.read",  "account-info.security.read"

  • Click on Update (8) and then on Create app (9).

Return to the Auth tab on the new app page and copy the Client ID and Client Secret to your clipboard, as you'll need them to connect to Grip.

  • From your browser, copy your Portal ID to the clipboard.

Connect HubSpot to Grip SSPM

  • From Grip platform, go to Posture >> Click on Add Tenant (1) » HubSpot (2)

In the Add New HubSpot Tenant window (3), enter HubSpot’s tenant Display name,  and the Client ID, Client Secret, and Portal id you copied in the previous section.

  • Click on Continue

The “Connect HubSpot” window (4) indicates that to complete the integration, you need to sign in to HubSpot with your username and password or send a URL to the HubSpot admin.

  • Once the admin approves it, the tenant will be connected.

  • Note that the link expires after 1 hour.

  • If you have the admin username and password, click Connect.

  • Connect the app.

  • Once connected, the Tenant will be added to the “Connected Tenants” list.

There, you can view and filter your policy statuses, assess your security posture, and address any issues.
