Meraki Integration with Grip Security - Posture (SSPM)

Overview

This guide explains how to connect Meraki with Grip Security.

Integrating with Grip’s SSPM module enables Grip to assess critical security settings, including access control, configuration baseline, and other relevant aspects within your Meraki environment.

To connect to Grip, you will need to add a new app in Meraki and provide the app’s API Key and the Organization ID.

Prerequisites

  • Check your “Allow list” IP settings.

  • Navigate to Organization» Overview » Settings.

  • Under the Security section, if you have a Login IP range selected (A, B, or both checkboxes), add the following IP addresses to the "allow list" so that Grip can access and query the Meraki database.

    • US - 18.117.54.181

    • EU - 99.80.233.188

  • Click on Save.

  • If the checkboxes are not selected, no changes are required.

Get Meraki API key

  • From your user,  go to My Profile.

  • Scroll down to API accessAPI keys and click on Generate new API Key

  • Copy the API key to your clipboard; you will need it when connecting to Grip, and click on Done.

  • From the bottom of the page, copy the Organization ID to your clipboard. You will need it when you connect to Grip.

Connect Meraki to Grip SSPM   

From the Grip platform, go to Posture » Click on Add Tenant (1) » Meraki (2) 

  • In the Add New Meraki Tenant window (3), enter Meraki’s tenant Display name,  the Organization ID, and the API key you copied in the previous section. 

  • Click on Add Tenant

  • Once connected, the Tenant will be added to the “Connected Tenants” list.

  • There, you can view and filter your policy statuses, assess your security posture, and address any issues.
